As per my last post, right now I am travelling a lot so posting and updates are a bit restricted. Anyway, this is a summary what what has happened so far, since we went live.
1) We went live at 24th March, 2009, with $1000 deposit
2) Broker is Alpari
3) All settings left as default, just reduced LRR to 5.0, scalper lots set to 0.1 – very conservative settings.
4) I have not traded all days, since there were 2 – 3 were market and Alpari were not stable.
5) Alpari changed servers and there is a problem of disconnectivity. I don’t know if this problem was fixed lately.
6) FAP Turbo 3.7 was released. Some people lost money on that day but for sure is not due to the robot. On the same day Alpari changed servers, and market was very unstable.
7) I had GMT Settings set incorrectly since the daylight hour change, and Fap Turbo was not functioning correctly.
So far FAP Turbo has generated $115.89 profits. See my next post for details.

Goodluck with your venture. You should make some money anyway, since I am making money too! I never heard of FIBO. What are the spreads of Eur/Chf and Eur/Gbp?

FIBO Group (www.fibogroup.com) is based in British Virgin Island. FIBO is dealing desk (market maker) and is 11 yrs into the business.
The spreads of FIBO Group varies.[It has been bad last week =( ]
But most of the time they have the following spread.
EURGBP spread = 2
EURCHF spread = 3
GBPCHF spread = 7
USDCAD spread = 4
I read abt the EURGBP problem a week ago. Hope it doesnt happen again.

FAP Turbo software recommends (1) using your personal computer or (2) using their personal server so you don’t have to leave your computer on all the time. What do you recommend?

Hi guys. I am new to this and perhaps a little ignorant. 1) Are the profits you are showing including broker fees? 2) What are the broker fees? I´m asking because it seems if you start out with too little money and make many trades, the fees will eat at all your profits. Please respond.

Sorry for the late reply. I can’t say 100% you need a VPS. Fap Turbo trades within a specific time of the day, so if you are available to switch on your PC at that time, and switch it off once all trades are completed, then you don’t need a VPS. If you are just starting out, don’t go into the expense of getting a VPS. Get used to Fap Turbo, the market, profits and losses etc, and if you find that this is for you, then go for cheap forex VPS (I bet around $30/month) so as you don’t need to stay hooked to the PC waiting for Fap Turbo do its work.

Hi CL,
Two bad trades there. This wasn’t a really great week for trading and for some reason there were some spikes on monday night that hit stop loss of Fap Turbo. I don’t know what happened in the market since right now I am not following anything. I was also hit with -$51 in Eur/Chf but eventually closed the week in profit. I will post later my results since for some reason I can’t login into my Alpari Account.
By the way, I am not trading Usd/Cad. No one does. And of course do not trade Eur/Usd.

@MJ, welcome to this blog.
The broker earns its money from the spreads. That is basically his commission. The spread is the difference between Bid and Ask Qoutes and it varies from broker to broker. The lower the spread the better for you.
Of course then, when you withdraw money, there are bank charges involved.
I would suggest you start with a small account $500 – $1000 (after demo trading for some weeks to get used to the systems involved) and then if you feel comfortable, then you may also deposit more money.
Of course with small account, do not expect huge money in return, however with some mild calculations I have done with my live results achieved so far, you may double your account by the end of the year – so basically a 100% return of your investment.
